1. Presented as a colorless or light yellow liquid, BT-301 should be used at 0-20% concentration alongside a water-reducing mother liquor to create an effective agent. Typical dosage is 1% to 3% of total cementitious material weight.
2. Prior to use, conduct compatibility tests with cement and gravel to optimize the water reducer formulation, ensuring smooth integration with varying cement and gravel types.
3. While generally used in combination, BT-301 can be applied singly or blended with water-reducing and set-retarding agents to mitigate slump loss. Formulate blends with functional aids to achieve desired properties like retarder, early-strength, antifreeze, and pumping capabilities.
4. Compatible with a range of admixtures such as early strength agents, air-entraining agents, and retarders. Conduct trials before use. Avoid mixing with naphthalene-based water reducers.
